Muay Thai fans have long awaited this announcement; Top King Boxing will finally be in the USA. The iconic brand in combat sports is set to make quite an impact stateside. The Thai-owned company is looking to elevate the sport of Muay Thai with sponsorships, its high-quality training gear, and upcoming events.
Combat Sports Gear
My longtime readers and listeners will know that I’ve trained in Muay Thai, Boxing, and MMA at all levels. It’s been difficult to find gear that is in my size that lasts through training. But athletes who have stepped in a gym anywhere around the world already know that the brand you want for quality is Top King.
Muay Thai competitors who are serious about training are already familiar with Top King. It’s well known for being robust and durable. Fighters and trainers alike trust the brand for their equipment needs. Now athletes can get this high-quality gear in America.
Whether training for MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, or Muay Thai, Top King has your back. The company is well known for its MMA and boxing gloves, striking pads, a collection of Muay Thai shorts, and shin guards respected by Conor Mcgregor. Plus, the training gear comes with a pretty great style. It’ll be hard to resist spending the entirety of my next pay cheque on this collection.
Events in the USA
Despite the robust amateur Muay Thai community in the USA, the professional scene has been relatively underdeveloped. Top King Boxing recognizes this gap and is determined to bridge it by introducing professional Muay Thai shows. Soon the Top King World Series and MX Muay Xtreme will debut in the USA. These events are well respected in the fight community having hosted a list of great fighters including the iconic Buakaw Banchamek. These events will provide a platform for American fighters to showcase their skills. These fights will also be broadcast back to the home of “The Art of Eight Limbs” in Thailand.
Supporting Combat Sports
In addition to its efforts in Muay Thai, Top King Boxing is also making moves into the world of MMA. Currently, the brand sponsors three MMA fighters, two of whom compete in the UFC. Plans are in place to expand this sponsorship list rapidly next year. This is about elevating combat sports and supporting the community at all levels.
The Brazilian striker Cesar Almeida was a top contender in GLORY Kickboxing before transitioning to MMA. “Cesinha” is now a recognized name in the UFC. This athlete is sponsored by Top King. Additionally, Dione Barbosa, unbeaten in the UFC, also works closely with the combat sports brand. Top King also sponsors others such as striking coach Matheus Naccache, MMA fighter Miguel Jacob, and Muay Thai champions Marie Ruumet and David Delapaz, among others.
Launched in 2008 by the Thai-born Narit Wongprasertkan, Top King Boxing is embedded in the sport of Muay Thai as Narit’s father started Windy in 1950. Narit Wongprasertkan hasn’t just stuck to making gear; he’s also behind popular fight promotions like Max Muay Thai, MX Muay Xtreme, and the Top King World Series. Now, Top King Boxing is ready to make waves in the USA with Top King USA. They’re bringing their top-tier fight gear and exciting professional Muay Thai events to the nation.
