The Professional Fighters League and Uncrowned, a new combat sports media brand created by Yahoo Sports and Ariel Helwani, are teaming up to offer fans a unique viewing experience for the “Battle of the Giants” PPV on Saturday, Oct. 19.
This special broadcast, known as “Helwanivision,” will be available exclusively on DAZN worldwide.
Hosted by Ariel Helwani, the alternate commentary will feature guests like NFL Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski and global sensation Jake Paul, who will provide their insights on the heavyweight showdown between Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira. Other guests include MMA legend Chael Sonnen, former Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson, and top MMA coach Tim Welch. The event will be streamed live from Uncrowned’s new studio in New York City starting at 4 PM EST.
PFL CEO Peter Murray expressed excitement about the collaboration, calling it a new and innovative way for fans to enjoy the biggest MMA event of the year. Helwanivision aims to deliver real-time analysis and fresh perspectives on the fights.
In the main event, heavyweight MMA star Francis Ngannou will return to the sport to face 6-foot-8 2023 PFL Heavyweight Champion Renan Ferreira for the PFL Super Fights Championship. The co-main event will showcase a women’s title fight between Cris “Cyborg” and PFL two-division champion Larissa Pacheco.
