In a clash between two former champions, the former K-1 lightweight champion Yuki Yoza will take on the former ONE kickboxing bantamweight champion Petchtanong in an incredible battle of kicking styles.
Following his one-year suspension for a doping violation, Petchanong returned to capture the world title from Hiroki Akimoto. Petchtanong would return to soundly defeat former ONE bantamweight kickboxing champion Alvaredi Ramazanov, whom he would overwhelm and finish late in the second round after the Dagestani striker complained over a leg injury.
On the other end is Yuki Yoza, the Karate phenom, who broke out and became a name to look out for in the world of kickboxing when he made quick work of former champions Kongnapa and Petchdam—two fighters who force to be reckoned with in K-1 and ONE Championship, respectively. Only for the Japanese striker with his revolutionary toe kicking style, out of Team VASILEUS, to take the kickboxing world by storm.
As he faced and thoroughly dominated the Dagestani striking prodigy Elbrus Osmanov, who himself has title potential out of the Mehdi Zatout training camp. As the insane kicking variety and ability to shut down all of Osmanov’s offense while crushing his legs continuously.
And breaking the seeming curse for Japanese fighters debuting in ONE, as most of them have lost their debut in the premier organization, such as his stablemates Takeru Segawa and Masaaki Noiri.

Yuki Yoza and karate will win the day against Petchtanong and Muay thai.
Despite Petchtanong still being as big a threat as he was in his actual prime. The face of the matter is he is 39 years old at the time of writing, has only fought three times in the past 5 years, and his failed drug test still looms large.
As Yuki Yoza has fought a murderers’ row in K-1 and had a high-level opponent in Osmanov in his debut with ONE. Unlike Petchtanong, who has won notable victories over Hiroki Akimoto who has been on a losing streak recent and struggled against MMA fighter John Lineker in a kickboxing match and, most recently, against Alvaredi Ramazanov. Who has been consistently losing to top competition since his title run as the inaugural champion in 2019.
So it seems most obvious that in a battle of kicking geniuses, the younger, faster, and more active one will likely overcome the aging one. As such, Yuki Yoza will likely overcome Petchtanong and face off against Johnathan Haggerty for the world title.
